Begin with a real customer journey
Choose one service and one customer situation. A homeowner looking for a repair, a visitor planning a tour and a resident shopping for a specialist product need different information. Write down the places you actually serve and the next action the person should take. Use that scenario to review your website on a phone.
Check your business information
Compare the business name, phone number, website and opening hours across your own pages and the profiles you manage. Correct inconsistencies at their source. Keep seasonal and holiday hours current. If customers cannot visit your address, follow the platform’s service-area business rules rather than presenting it as a storefront.
Review the destination page
Open the page linked from your Business Profile. Does it explain the service, the area covered and how to contact you? Are the phone and enquiry links usable? A useful page anticipates the first few questions: what is included, who it suits, what affects scope and what happens after a request.
Look for local relevance you can substantiate
Neighbourhood references should help a person understand coverage or logistics. If you serve the Lower Mission, Rutland and Glenmore, explain any real differences in availability or travel. Avoid creating a separate page for each place when the answer and service are effectively identical.
Build an honest review process
Ask real customers for feedback through a consistent process. Do not offer an incentive for a positive review or hide the review link from dissatisfied customers. Respond to criticism professionally without revealing private job or customer details. The purpose is to improve the experience and make reliable feedback visible.
Review results at a useful interval
Record what changed and when. Compare relevant search activity, profile interactions and qualified enquiries over time. For seasonal Okanagan businesses, compare similar periods where data allows. A good month can reflect demand as well as better pages; keep the explanation proportionate to the evidence.
Your first review
Tick the items you have checked. This is a self-review, not an automated site audit. Your selections stay in this open page.
